DAY 1: ARRIVE DELHI Arrive in Delhi where you are met with and escorted to your hotel.
DAY 2: DELHI Begin your tour of New Delhi in the afternoon. Drive along Rajpath to Rashtrapati Bhawan, the President of India's residence, and continue to India Gate. To get a taste of ancient Delhi visit Humayun's Tomb and the Qutab Minar.
DAY 3: DELHI - AGRA A morning tour of Old Delhi that includes the Red Fort, Raj Ghat, Ashoka Pillar and the fascinating Chandni Chowk bazaar. In the afternoon drive to Agra, stopping en route at Sikandra to visit the tomb of Emperor Akbar. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel.
DAY 4: AGRA - FATEHPUR SIKRI - JAIPUR Enjoy an incredible sunrise at the magnificent Taj Mahal, followed by a visit to the brilliant 16th century Agra Fort. En route your drive to Jaipur, stop at the abandoned city of Fatehpur Sikri, a masterpiece of Muslim and Hindu architecture. Continue to Jaipur and check in at the hotel.
DAY 5: AMBER FORT EXCURSION AND JAIPUR SIGHTSEEING Enjoy an early morning visit to the Amber fort on elephant back following which go for a city tour of Jaipur, visiting Hawa Mahal or the "Palace of Winds," the City Palace and the ancient observatory of Jantar Mantar.
DAY 6: JAIPUR - JODHPUR Spend an easy morning. In the afternoon take the train to Jodhpur where you will be met with and escorted to the hotel.
DAY 7: JODHPUR - JAISALMER The morning is reserved for a visit to the imposing Mehrangarh Fort and Jaswant Thada, a marble cenotaph built in 1899. In the afternoon, drive to Jaisalmer in the heart of the Thar Desert. The impressive golden fort here is sheer poetry in yellow sandstone. Overnight in Jaisalmer.
DAY 8: JAISALMER SIGHTSEEING Visit the awe-inspiring Jaisalmer Fort and the still thriving ancient township within its ramparts. Go across to the gorgeous Nathmalji-ki-Haveli and Patwon-ki-Haveli, beautifully sculptured Jain temples built between the 12th and 13th centuries. Crown this visit with a sunset on the picturesque dunes of Sam on a camel safari. The sights and sounds of this piece of land are too exquisite to be described in words.
DAY 9: JAISALMER - JODHPUR In the morning drive down to Jodhpur where you will be checked in at your hotel. The evening is free for leisure.
DAY 10: JODHPUR - RANAKPUR - UDAIPUR In the morning depart for Udaipur, stopping on the way for a memorable visit to the beautifully sculpted Jain temples of Ranakpur. Arrive in Udaipur and check into your hotel.
DAY 11: UDAIPUR SIGHTSEEING The morning is earmarked for a comprehensive tour of this "City of Lakes." The City Palace with its scalloped arches, the Saheliyon ki Bari Garden and the folklore museum where you can catch string puppetry at work are some of the major highlights of the day.
DAY 12: UDAIPUR - MUMBAI In the morning fly to Mumbai (formerly Bombay), India's truly cosmopolitan metro. On arrival, you will be met with and transferred to the hotel. In the tour of the city, take in the grandeur of the British-built arch Gateway of India, the Hanging Gardens and the affluent community of Malabar Hills, the Prince of Wales Museum, Dhobi Ghat, Marine Drive, and the Gandhi Memorial Museum.
DAY 13: MUMBAI - HOME Check out from your hotel after which you will be transferred to the airport for your flight home.
